Located only a few kilometres north of the township of Crows Nest, the Crows Nest Pistol Club is set on the side of a hill overlooking a scenic valley. Initially formed in 1984 as the Rosalie Pistol Club, shoots were held on the Army Range at Cabarlah. The club moved to its present site in 1987.
Our friendly club welcomes all who are interested in the safe usage of pistols, offering hands on instruction and competitions for different levels of ability. New members and guests are actively encouraged to drop in for a look and participate in our regular shoots. For those who do not have their own firearms, the club has a collection of .22 pistols and a .22 rifle that can be hired for a small fee.
Pistol shooting is an exciting and challenging sport. It is a sport that, although not particularly physically demanding, provides a never ending inner battle to improve one’s technique, timing, and concentration. For those considering joining the club we have something to offer everyone. With a wide range of shooting styles available and the constant improvement to our grounds, ranges and facilities, our friendly members are more than happy to welcome you and give time and advice to new members.
